MANNEM VUAJNAH

Mannem vuajnah is a dance performance about identity and belonging created in 2019 by Marika Renhuvud. Dancers in the performance are Liv Aira, Kajsa Nilsson, Gabriella Engdahl and Marika Renhuvud.

Mannem Vuajnah which means "Do you see me" in Southern Sami, and the performance addresses questions about what it's like to belong to a minority, why cultures clash and how we can build bridges between cultures.  

"With the help of the performance, I want to build bridges between cultures and try to create an understanding between us so that in the future we Sami can receive a fairer treatment than we often receive today." - Marika Renhuvud

The show has toured in Sweden in autumn 2019, spring 2020 and also in Norway in 2021.
