Praejhta is a performance of strength, vulnerability and courage. About different Sami women who all have a drive and a strength that can only be described as primal power, or through dance and joik.
In this performance we tell about different women through dance, yojk, music, poetry and the Southern Sami language. What have they been involved in? What has shaped them into the way they live today? Are there inherited traumas that Sami women pass on without their knowledge? Can we describe the strength that Sami women possess?
This performance raises these questions and looks for answers. Above all, we celebrate Sami women and give them a place in history
